When Would You Use This?
Great question. Password protection isn't for every link — most of the time, public links are fine. But there are moments when you need that extra layer:
- Sharing internal documents with a small team
- Sending client deliverables before the official launch
- Offering early access to premium content
- Sharing private reports or financial data
How to Set It Up
Could hardly be simpler:
- Create or edit any link
- Turn on "Password Protection"
- Enter a password
- Save
How It Works for Visitors
When someone clicks a password-protected link, they'll see a clean K2V page asking for the password. Enter the correct one, and they're redirected to your content. Simple, but effective.
A Couple of Notes
- Share the password separately from the link — don't put them in the same email
- Use something memorable but not obvious
- You can always change the password or remove protection later
