Password-Protected Links — For When You Need Control

When Would You Use This?

Great question. Password protection isn't for every link — most of the time, public links are fine. But there are moments when you need that extra layer:

  • Sharing internal documents with a small team
  • Sending client deliverables before the official launch
  • Offering early access to premium content
  • Sharing private reports or financial data

How to Set It Up

Could hardly be simpler:

  1. Create or edit any link
  2. Turn on "Password Protection"
  3. Enter a password
  4. Save

How It Works for Visitors

When someone clicks a password-protected link, they'll see a clean K2V page asking for the password. Enter the correct one, and they're redirected to your content. Simple, but effective.

A Couple of Notes

  • Share the password separately from the link — don't put them in the same email
  • Use something memorable but not obvious
  • You can always change the password or remove protection later
